GUIDELINES

HorrorScope reviews material from the following genres:
  • Horror
  • Dark Fantasy
  • Supernatural Thrillers
  • Science Fiction (dark/horrific only. Think Alien)
  • Paranormal Fiction (if the emphasis is on suspense rather than romance)
Our audience and focus is primarily Australian (including New Zealanders), therefore we review material from Australasian creators or that is freely available in Australia.

We review:
  • Books.
  • DVDs.
  • Films (preview or in-season passes).
  • Anime.
We may review (query first!):
  • Comics and graphic novels.
  • Theatre and live performances.
We do not review:
  • Self-published or vanity press material (Australian authors may query).
  • PDF versions of overseas printed books (hard copy books are ok).
  • Music.
We accept books in their native format (print books should be supplied in hard copy). Australian small presses may query if they have an electronic version available, but due to the volume of books received, please be aware that reviewers are less likely to review electronic material.
